Thinking about building a Tomcat advice please.

As above need some advice..

So far i've worked out running gear spec i hope.

Isuzu 3.1Td engine

R380/ Lt 85 Gearbox

RRC 90/92 Transferbox for viscous coupling

Tomcat own 4.1 diffs

Disco 2 axles.

Would anyone care to add to here if they think there's somthing needs changed or beefed up a bit.

More help i can get regarding suitable running gear the better.
Chassis length is going to be 100" for stability.

The 4x is going to be 60% on road 40% off.
I do fancy doing an expedition down to capetown in 2 years time so vehicle would have to be able to do that.

Anyone built a Tomcat on here or know of someone who has that i could email etc for a setup???

now then, all seems good to me not that i have built a tomcat , but have built a dakar if you are going to do it ,do it but make lists of things to do in the time you have or it will never finish ,i took one year from start to m.o.t.go for it good luck mate.

I am also tempted to have a pop at making one but I want a nice V8 in mine... Good luck with yours
