One approach (which may not be relevant): if you're going out with a spouse/partner/mate, why not go separately and stagger the journeys by 10 days or so? That way you can identify any obvious gaps in your supplies and the second to travel can buy and bring them out. No extra cost but easier than ordering and shipping parts out there once you've discovered you need something.

They turned out to be mild steel. Guess what, the local market had a set of nearly new genuine Land Rover ones for sale for 3x what they would cost new. No qualms about potentially causing a fatal chrash to make a few $.
