Hi guys, finally bit the bullet and brought a Land Rover after many years of deep thought and lack of funds here I am owning a TD5 Discovery which has covered only 86k and a very good service history!
Well first things first it’s auto ... wasn’t my preferred choice but it was local and a good price! It had an issue with changing gear and what felt like clutch slip. Don’t think the truck has ever been over 40mph! I’ve used it for 2 days now and yes, it’s improved but tomorrow I’m going to change the gearbox oil and filter and fingers crossed it’ll solve the problem well, so I’m told!
Moving on the first mod id like to do is find a lift kit been looking at the Terrafirma 3” shock and spring kit, Air to coil! Is 3” going to be too much and going to force me to change other things like radius arms etc? I know I’ll need extended brake lines am I maybe better with a 2” lift and blocks? I’m going to be running 33/12.50/15” wheels/tyres? So need to make sure I’ve got the clearance, the side steps will be coming off to and fingers crossed replaced with the steel rock sliders!

Future I’ll be looking at, egr delete, straight pipe, intercooler and a remap so any suggestions on any of that would be much appreciated :) and for external mods I’ll be after a winch bumper and winch all the usual!
Just open to all advice and recommendations really will keep you all posted with pictures!
