I have been having battery drain problems with my 4.6 hse so I disconcert the remote receiver. This helped but did not cure the problem.

Since then I have been disconnecting th battery if the rangey has been standing for more than a few hours.

When I reconnect the battery sometimes the central locking doesn't work and the alarm doesn't disable. Reseating some of the maxi fuses usually clears the problem.

The other day I reconnected the remote receiver and all was fine. I reconnected the battery today but the central locking won't work with key or remote.

The alarm is still active therefore it sound if I try to start the vehicle

I am at a loss what to try ne5. Can anyone offer suggestions?
I don't need the central locking or alarm so if there is a way to disable the security system this is fine

Thanks

I dont think anyone will be telling you how to disable their security systems on here :D

Try your local car thieves, they will know

Top tip of the day: Go to the Range Rover section and ask in there, strange as it may seem thats the best section to get a question answered about a Range Rover

:D Posh lot in there, they even tell you how to steal them :p

Do I detect a hint of jealousy from those unfortunate enough not to own a Range Rover?

Absolutely my chauffeur flatly refuses to drive my Defender, I'm thinking of swapping him for a butler. They are obviously prepared to be seen out driving anything :p:p

This guy must be a right fool, he is doing the work himself? That's what your local town peasants are for
