Thought a user on here had access to original build specs?

Yes I did pm him but no response, yet. If you check the plates as DVLA it shows RR 4.6, (well it did till I changed engine numbers:)) now it shows 6.stupid cc:eek: if it hasn’t disappeared off the system now as it’s now registered here.

Thing is the car left the factory as a vogue 4.6 with a refund for no engine? (Or was that an OF discount)The owner never saw it. Till it was built.

Here’s a one found other day.

Only 2 prototypes made. I do know they did drop a jag V12 in a classic but think that was a special for a rally.

It was shoe horned in there, the BMW CEO at the time drove it in Germany

It's whereabouts are unknown as far as i know.

They were planning on re-fitting the RR P38 with the 3.5 and 4.4 M60-62 V8's however they never got round to it and LR was bought up by ford in 2000.

Interesting, the photo of the engine bay is a left hooker, the photo of the car is a right hooker.
I like the front end treatment but no way would I want a V12 in there.

They canned the idea as the V12 BMW buggered the weight over the nose too much for the engineers’ liking as it sticks out further. They weren’t willing to compromise it due to the effect it has off-road, which was a must for them at the time even though they marketed it for city office types that could afford one at the time that never went near dirt

Be nice to get that Jag AJ8 engine in there and hooked up with a silky ZF box. How the hell you get it into the transfer box I don't know.

It’d need custom piggy back management probably similar to map Bosch did for M51 (which was transplanted really) dde 2.2 / late etc

The guy I had my P38 from will stick any engine in anything if it’s got the room he said. He once put a V8 calibra engine in the back of a Nova made it MR. Literally tore itself apart
