Can't beat the v8 rumble :)

i'm guessing with only 13k it was dry use only :D
I have no idea. I suspect I have been had over............maybe.
But inside & out it is "mint". Allegedly owned by a millionaire as part of his collection of vehicles and it is generally unmarked inside and out so I cannot believe that anyone would go to so much trouble to dummy it up.
I paid a stupid amount for it (that truly makes me wince when I think of it) but I didn't want a later model "mugs-eyeful" of flashing lights and clever $41t. The P38 is trouble enough.

Bought "Buttercup" just over 12 months ago, originally Eastnor Green which the doris did not want so changed to a "Happy" colour !!!!!!
Bit tired inside, but head lining still good, absoloutely no tin worm anywhere so had a good dosing of Dinitrol (including me), loads of little problems I am working through but at the moment running nicely.
Still to do, paint the wheels (black/silver I think), source sill finishers, fit front mud flaps, fit homemade Boomslang type lighting harnes, source a link lead to connect the leccy door mirrors to the control switch - rocking horse do do - find a new/old stock interior mirror.
To date I am around 7k euros into this, but bought with the intention of being the last vehicle I shall need. Had to have something simple to work on, so 2.4VM motor with 175000 Km on the clock .

Oh, and get the air-con gassed up and working. Fingers crossed.
She don't get lost in car parks that's for sure.

She's an absolute beauty! You lucky man. :)

I was searching the internet over here in France for over 12 months before I found it. And I did pay over the odds for it, but it was a long term plan/investment, though I don't really expect to get money back on it, just hoping to use it for the next 10/15 years.
A mate prepped and re-sprayed it between jobs as a restorer of old/rare cars. Mates rates is wonderful when it all falls right, I have given him a hand on a couple of jobs though, so that's all right.

Karma..... What goes around..... etc. Mates doing mates favours is what life is all about. Glad you found her and I hope it all goes well.

here is my baby, 2000MY. Has cost me plenty over the fine years I have had her, but as never broken down or failed an MOT, always gets looks when I take her out, which isn't that often these days, just used mainly for days out and towing the tin tent down to Cornwall for our annual holidays. I have ditched the silly wing vents, put them on in a moment of madness, my bad.

Lovely looking RRC pity that yellow wasn't a factory colour, it suits it really well. :)

Now that too is very, very tidy. I prefer the P38 to the successor models TBH. Proper truck.

Here is my 2001 4.6 V8 In Java Black. I keep her in Sevastopol in the Crimea at my winter home. Had her a few years and up until recently when the cam sensor failed had never let me down.
Never had to really spend much either but this winter I had the head gaskets done and all the other associated bits one needs to do when you take off the heads. Runs like a dream. Behind in the Photo is the Russian Radar station that monitors the Black sea and more,
