The new snorkel...

I actually got round to making it yesterday, I used a random top filter off ebay, a length of 2.5" exhaust and a southdown wing moulding with some under bonnet flexi pipe also off the ebay.






Also, the black smoothrite was all i had available at the time! :blabla:

Did you say you used exhaust pipe? Just a length of 2.5 mild steel I assume?

About 40-50 quid, I already had the hammerite! Yeah, normal mild steel that has a LOT of smoothrite on it, works fine, looks good and is relatively cheap.

That's not bad at all, a proper snorkel kit runs to over £150 normally don't they?

Aye they do, not too bad I don't think for a couple of hours work on a nice day.

how have you attatched the breather to the pipe?

Erm... I've not yet! I've not done any wading yet that's that deep so it's ok, but the various breather pipes are still waiting to be done, I'm thinking some length of water feature pipe and some araldite. Maybe...

Length of black 6mm pipe (IIRC) and some cable ties usually do the job.

Fair enough, now I know!

iv just made one as well i used black plastic pipe from B&Q only cost me £20, did the job 2day at cown !!!!
