Things I haven't considered thus far:
1. Transporting donor vehicle back to the island as I don't have:
a. Trailer
b. Trailer towing untensile

2. The fact I don't have a workshop, only the side of the house that I could convert into a Car Port area. I have a small garage, but it's full of tools.
3. If I do this ^^^^ I need to paint the side of the house first or I won't get to it after I have built a Car Port
4.I would need to get power to the garage / Car Port - I need to do this anyway, as I have recently repaired a 16-amp jet wash thingy, so it's not really an excuse...
5. I would need to buy LOTS more tools

Apart from painting the side of the house, I do not see what the issue is.....

You will need a trailer and tow vehicle if it is going to be a trialer / comp vehicle and a place to work on the beast no matter what you get , so it is all going to be used in the future....win win..

Cheers

300tdi on lt77 gearbox. Rear rad for cooling. Box on side has the header tank. Electric water pump makes bleeding easier.
Front rad for charge cooler. But this is protected from the mud.
Engine in front. started as a V8 just make mounts as you go. Also cut chassis to 88"
Look at a Clarke put up garage. Just don't weld inside it ;)

If Your requirement list getting bigger what will the mrs want?

Luckily, the burd issue is quite cool - she has her dogs in her own house and goes of doing trials etc...

Gotta ask - Charge Cooler? The rear Rad idea is a good move - I've seen oil coolers as well... it's all starting to look complex.

Water cooled intercooler. Even when your sat on start line your getting colder air than an intercooler which relies on air flow to cool it.
Also does not block with mud.
Run small rad & water pump.
Any pipes which run through cab need to be steel.
Are All these little tips helping :)
