The Doors?

Unfortunately not the band but the doors on my Landy. I'm thinking of buying a pair of brand new doors (£140 eBay) but I'm not sure if my doors are series 2a or series 3 items. They are held on with series 3 brackets but if anyone can shed any light on the differences between the two doors that would be most appreciated! Cheers. Olly

As far as I am aware the series 3 and series 2a doors are the same.

Yes probably, but the door and door top will fit either 2a or 3. My series 3 doors don't have check straps. The window locks will be ok as long as door and door top are matched. I don't know of differences regarding door handles but I don't see a problem unless the owner wanted to keep the landy entirely original.

In relation to size they are interchangeable, it depends on how original you want to keep your Land Rover. As mentioned by Marmaduke they are differences in window locks, check strap etc......the choice is yours

They both let in drafts and rain equally so it won't make any difference.
