i have figured out why the clutch went!
i could not get my head around what happen to the clutch as it had been fine before it went pop.
the slave cylinder piston came out of the slave and then lost all of the fluid.
i think the reason for this was wait for it some muppet removed the matting which is 1/2" think this allowed the pedal to go right down to the floor pushing moor fluid onto the slave which pushed the piston to far!
now should there be a bolt in the floor under the clutch pedal to stop this happening ?
