Series 3 Losing clutch pressure over time

Hi,

I recently started losing clutch pressure; now to the point where I have 0 pressure and cannot use the clutch.

I suspect there is fluid running down the pedal, but since it has rained heavily here; i cannot distinguish it properly from plain water. It carries so much gunk however, that I feel like it cant be water...

I have tried to top off the reservoir and pump the pedal a bunch; this only results in a very small amount of foam like bubbles, and no real fluid being moved. See picture.

What does all this mean? I personally suspect the slave cylinder, but I am new to LR; and maybe this is a telltale sign to something else.

Agree the leak will be clutch fluid .. tastes different to water .. new master cylinder and slave cylinder advised

As above. Blackish gunk in reservoir likely seals have broken up in master and/or slave and now be in the pipework. Renew master and slave. Flush pipes with fresh brake fluid.

For some reason the picture didnt attach, yes there was some black ish stuff at the bottom before i filled it up. Not loose though; looked caked on. Anywho, I will replace those parts. Thanks for the advice.

Another question, which slave cillinder do i need? There are so many differences?

Hi thanks for above images, I managed to order everything I (Thought) I needed. I have a LHD, so I had to remove a fair bit of stuff before I could pull the clutch pedal assembly and remove the lines. However, I ran into a problem.

My clutch hydraulics are assembled differently than the above picture shows. I have a metal pipe from my master cilinder to a flex hose; this flex hose directly screws into the slave cilinder. This isnt directly a problem I feel like, what is though is that i had to snip the pipe coming off my master cilinder; since it was rusted up too bad.

Now I have a fair bit of trouble finding a replacement one, while i can find the ones from the picture; those are often labeled as RHD. What is my best option? I stopped by a local LR guy, who quoted me 40 bucks for the line; which I found to be quite expensive.

So my question is:
Can I still use the 577687 in my configuration?
And, what could I use as an alternative is above question is a no. I found this myself https://www.lrparts.net/nrc4374.html

For $40 you could buy the pipe, fittings and tool to make twenty clutch pipes!

I'd imagine that the LHD pipe is shorter, and if so you could just buy the RHD one and put a loop in it, but I'd suggest making the loop in a helix so that it bleeds easily.

NRC4222 is the other hand ( as shown by the axles)
