The accident damage was caused by a Fiat Miaera Estate side swiping the Disco , it was a crumpled mess , the Disco needed 3 body panels and a VIC test ....... back on the road and has failed it first MOT under my ownership on 1 TRE and 2 Flexi pipes !!

I think it refuses to die and I love it for its determination and ease of sorting !! Its like a big Mechano Set !!! I've been off roading in it , towed my caravan (1500 kgs) all over the country , managed to fix it once without tools , towed my Capri and trailer from darn sarf , all without drama's ..........

Why cant they make em like this now ???????

This is my first ever LR and I have a undying love for em now , they are great . Why buy a Mondeo / Vectra when ya can have a 300Tdi or a TD5 for buttons !!

My 8 year old daughter call's it Diesel Pig , my 17 year old son wants one as his first car , the wife wont drive anything else ...........

I think LR got the recipe right with the 300Tdi

I could go and buy another , a S3 2.7 TDV6 is catching my eye at the mo , but , the 300TDi still does its job :) so why change for change sake ???

I am with you there mate got a D1 200TDI.Pulled horse boxes shifted straw bales moved 2 whole houses using it.Loaded it to roof with plasterboard and timber love it and yeah a big mechano set.Laid down my spanners after i could afford a set of wheels i didnt have to keep on the road myself as i earned more now they back out with a vengance love it. And the best thing is it just keeps going esp in snow love waving at the local boy racers with their big bore exhausts blue underbody lights and low profile tyres as i steam up the hills past them when they are just spinning their wheels going backwards.
