Yesterday test drove TDV8 2010 and was a bit disappointed not because it was not good but it wasnt 60k better than my P38 handling was similar (only round town) so was power my 38 has had a few mods to engine and also all the suspension and steering is all new I just couldnt see the sixty odd grand difference having said that it was brilliant inside but there again I drive mine and use it or am I missing something here?

Stick your 60K in yer pocket and buy it in 2 years when its worth 30K:D
Will have had all its teething problems sorted and you save 30K
Been there, seen it and got the t-shirt on new Landrovers, never going down that road again.
My P38 has cost me about £1K to keep it in tip top condition in 4 years of ownership. Bought a Disco 3 for £38K sold it 3 years later (kept leaving me stranded!!) for £21K. Do the maths, and my P38 drives just aswell.

depreciation is your friend-whether the p38 will be is another matter.
Sorry but that depreciation is ridiculous-unless they are lease motors and written off on tax as cost=****in hell

Well I have had my 38 for 5 yrs replaced the engine and all the suspension, brakes and steering and still havent spent loads (well a little bit but not fing 60k) and it only let me down once when the plate between the engine and the gearbox gave up so no complaints

Had mine and saw it was on the verge of starting to want numerous things-got shot of it and have had best nights sleep ever.
Without BCEM and liner issues they would be okay!
