i have a 2ootdi
but i dnt really understand how to run it on veg oil ??? like i have seen 50/50 or 30% on this post alone can u try and explain or tell me what i should do to start running on this ??? my landy is gettin on a bit now haha 226 on the clock so wanna save the pennies to get a few things sorted and the cutttin the fuel costs would be great !!
Do you have to make any changes to make use of veg oil?
None what so ever-but as the veg is higher viscosity ,it is kinder to your pump to thin it with some regular diesel or petrol or both-misfuel if you can get it is ideal,as it is duty paid and a mix of diesel and petrol(try asking at local garages-that is where I get mine)A good mix would be 70% veg ,30% derv-this is similar to what Redhand is running. If you go the petrol route (you get more thinning effect with petrol) do not go above 10% addition in case you run into vapour lock (petrol vapourising inside the hot I/P pump).I personally run home brew biodiesel, and add 5% misfuel, but if i were to run Tesco's veg,I would add 10% derv and 5% petrol.Do you have to make any changes to make use of veg oil?
