Tensioner pulley issue?

Hi

I changed my bearing in the tensioner pulley the other day as mine was squeeking then making a grinding noise at high revs, there was a lot of top to bottom play in the pulley and after changing the bearing i still have this play but a little less, is this normal?. It also squeels constant now, but think i have got a faulty bearing

Might be worth you looking in the Common Faults thread for the penny trick. It will cover your issues with squeaking. My Defender is also squeaking and I am on the verge of buying a new tensioner arm, or earplugs .
