It's a body off job on some of the TdV8's.how big a job and how expensive to replace one or two turbos on these.
just been offered one with a turbo fault.dont know if the car runs or not.
im under the impression that its an engine out job.
anyone done one

I think it's body off for the 'Sport' model, dunno about the others ...
people forget to let their turbos 'cool down' by ldling them before switching off ...
no
its an L322 2007
how long in garage time
Land Rover reckon to book 15hrs for doing both turbos
body off = 2hrs
doings turbos = 2hrs each
putting it all back, testing and bleeding brakes etc = 4hrs
road test![]()
A FIVE hour roadtest? Now thats being thorough![]()
Reckon it's more than 2hrs for body off
Yeh, i knewI never said that was LRs breakdown of hours ...![]()
Cool down is less of an issue with modern oils and machining processes. More to the point damn near everyone lives in a town or city, you shouldn't be be ragging a boosted engine so much that the turbo needs a cool down anyway. When I get within 5 miles of home I pretty much coast everywhere. The turbo is nicely cooled by that point anyway.
