The tdi radiator from my discovery (going into the 110) seems to be 'rotten' - the fins towards the centre of the radiator are soft and crumbly. I've never had to replace a radiator before, but should I get this one reconditioned or buy a new one from paddocks for £92? :)

New one! :p

My donor-Disco came with a knackered radiator. I tried to find a decent second-hand one, but the price difference was negligible so went for a new (Allparts) one. The Paddocks one certainly won't be genuine for that price - if I recall correctly they're in the £300 bracket.

Ian.

Ok, well I can't afford £300, so it'll have to be an OEM one.

also another question, with service items like oil, air, fuel filters, is it worth going genuine or should I just buy the cheapo ones?

cheers :)

Ok then. I hope my new radiator has the screw-in oil pipe fittings, as I need to swap them over from my old TD radiator.

It's a bit of a shame really, cause my TD radiator is almost brand new :(

I got my radiator for my 90 re cored for £150. Higher fin count than normal as well, only took a day to get it back. So long as you have a metal radiator its worth looking into.

Sell the old rad,i'm sure somebody will need one somewhere. The rad from paddocks is britpart,it says so in the part number (BTP)
