Oil Radiator Unions confusion

Hi everyone. I've been scratching my head about my oil radiator. The unions seems to have some sort of conversion which keep coming loose and causing an oil leak.
I have a 200tdi with a conversion from a TD before my ownership and I think it was done in a bit of a rush. Anyone know what's going on here? Is it a converter for the old TD pipes. What should it look like? I notice that on the radiator side, the holes are of a larger diameter so something must be up. How can I fix it and what parts do I need?

Thanks everyone

Am not sure I fully understood what you are saying.
Do you mean that there is an adaptor that goes between the oil cooler pipe and the oil cooler radiator, ie the pipe screws into the adaptor and the adaptor into the radiator, and that one or the other keeps loosening ?

They look standard to me.
Iirc 200tdi seals on a taper and later 300 ones use an o ring.
So where the male/male union screws into the rad it might benefit from some thread sealant.

Note td and 200tdi seem to use exact same set up, apart from all the separate updates depending on vin.

Thank you both, I see now that this is standard. Sorry for the dumb question, very new to all this and all my mates who are helping me are 300tdi blokes so they don't have a clue about some of this 😊

There are no stupid questions. Feel free to ask anything.

Make sure them adapters into the radiator are tight.

How about a bit of PTFE tape on the threads if that is where it is leaking from.
I do have a vague memory of being some different adapters. Mind you if they were already there I guess they are correct.
