Hello all,

My Td5 seems to have developed a wobble at about 65mph, and also after hitting a pot hole you can feel it for a short while afterwards?

i've had all the wheels balanced, have checked the props - including the infamous rubber doughnut!

any other suggestions? its getting increasingly noticable!

Cheers

Dan

You said you've had the wheels balanced too....stating the bleedin' obvious....tyre pressures all good too?

Steering damper First guess! but alas an guided guess at that,

Howdy Dan you got yourself a Pretend Landy now? Disco I mean

Check the panhard bushes. My mates vehicle was doing the same and I went underneath and you could see the play as he rocked the steering wheel to and fro.

Hi Dan,

Long time no hear!!

Sounds like you might want to check swivel bearing preload, steering box backlash, tracking, all ball joints, steering damper, tyre pressures and steering shaft. That little lot should sort it. Keep ya busy anyway:eek:

P38`s suffer with this too they call it "the death wobble", 90% of the time it turns out to be the steering damper.

As above like Previously posted and what Kev says would start with ball joints and then the steering damper. If I was a betting man I would say Steering damper. Then work around panhard rod, swivels, wheel bearings, all bushes etc

hello guys! sorry had some issues at home!

Thanks so much for your recomendations! i'm sifting through all suggestions!

Discobasher took it for a spin and reckond panhard rod so i'll start there n work me way through!

i'll keep ya'll posted :)

Dan
