i have a sheared wheel stud on my td5 and wondered if anyone has changed one, it's on the front wheel..
any ideas of whats involved and cost of new one ??
thanks

best yer check first as some studs are screwed it and if you try belting it out you'll most likey end up doing damage. get the new one and check if it screw in or press in. if its press in you can use the nut and some form of spacer to pull it through. screw in ones can be got out using a pipe wrench if there is enough sticking out, or grinding a couple of flats on it, or cutting a slot for a screw driver( which int the best option).

rang L/R dealers today and was told studs not sold separate so would have to buy complete hub, sounds very unlikely to me ..
someone please tell me this is not so and i got the YTS on the phone!!!

why not ring round the breakers yard for a second hand one if you cant get one new stud from main dealer second hand hub would be a cheaper opp and easy fit than paying dealer £s for one

Attempted theft.

The studs are pull-in splined items, easy to knock out the bust one, and pull in a new one using a wheel-nut and a spacer like a big nut or a stack of washers.
