how do you check if these pipes are blocked

not easy without removing them but they are more likley to have snaped off the bottom of the frame (common problem) than be blockes up

Open the sunroof and pour a small amount of water into the holes located on each front corner of the sunroof frame an watch for it to run out under the the disco, not blocked.

or onto the headlining, blocked.

I read somewhere in a buyers guide that you can clean them by blowing them through with an airline but not tried it myself.

Have a look at fleabay item number :120376051132
It 10m of 2mm steel rope. They use it for boating. I used it for my disco 3 and it worked a treat
