i have just ordered a straight through pipe to replace the mid silencer and am wondering what the nut size is as some of them may need replacing
cannot find it on rave manual??

The sound is wonderful - I've seen some describe it as boomy, but to me its more 'grunt' with a lovely top-note of turbo chirrup. Certainly been driving with a big smile since switching to the straighty

I kept mine and glad I did, after a while I put it back on and went for a straight through rear section instead (side exit). Completely different sound.

Although I'm now considering putting the middle pipe back on to make full straight through :flame2:
 
I found that the studs on the rear section of mine were completely unusable. I had to cut them off and drill 10mm holes in it and use M10 bolts and nuts to bolt it up.

I did this for the mid to de-CAT section too.

As above, the sound is amazing. You can actually hear the turbo working now. It is a little boomy sitting in the back though.
 
I'm looking to do this... Does it give you any more grunt as mine is feeling a little flat, new airflow sensor improved it but I think my cat may be blocked?

If you're sure that you have a cat in your exhaust downpipe, then just replace that component on it's own and the engine will breath much better without making it too noisy.

If the engine is running a bit flat, have you cleaned the MAP sensor on the inlet
manifold?

Have you checked the red plug on the main engine ECU for oil contamination?

I've checked the looms for oil contamination and I'm happy to say they're bone dry

I'll check the MAP tomorrow I think
