I have been given two front td5 seats as the bottoms on mine have given up. How would I go about fitting these? is there an easy way? or will it involve cutting and welding?
TD5 front seats into 300tdi??

Yes, there is an easy way !!!!!!
Take of the existing seats from the runners, leaving the runners in place.
Do the same with the TD5 seats, then make up a steel converter plate so you can bolt it to the runners and bolt the new seats to the plate.

Hmmm,
I've been involved in this site for about 18 months. I have noticed recently that a friendly request for information gets met by a "do a search" or "google" response. In many cases, a search doesn't always return sensible replies.
This forum to be any use relies on an exchange of information, and while I can understand the boredom for the more senior members replying to a query THEY may have seen the answer to, we need the questions to keep the forum lively and up to date.
The Land Rover fraternity has always been known for it's friendliness and openness. It would be a shame if we lose that by a grumpy approach to newcomers. If a post annoys, it would be better to ignore it than respond.
I'm sorrry that I can't help with the OP's question, but I hope someone does come along with a helpful reply soon.

well that was a great deal of help then wasnt it
most people come on ere cant be botherd to do any form of research or searching and want it all done for them,thats why people get ****sed of with answering the same qs over and over again,it wont be long before they ask the dreaded qs
