Hi
I have a land rover discovery TD5, 2003.
Can anyone help please? Sometimes the engine feels like it is 'missing' when the accelerator is pressed and then when this happens more often, the engine light comes on with the S&M lights flashing and I loose power. Has anyone any experience with this? The battery and connections are fine, xyz switch good and not corroded. The garage got a throttle communication problem when plugged into the computer but couldn't find a problem. Thanks, Helen

Helen,

Before anyone leaps on you from a great height, it is advisable to go to the Introduce Yourself thread and tell us a bit about yourself. :rulez:

Apart from which, :welcome2:

If you tell us where you are, there may be someone local who is able to help.

Hi - so sorry - new to all this, I'm used to horse forums but i guessed 4 legs or 4 wheels may be the same! What can I say to introduce myself? Originally from the North East, moved down to the Forest of Dean (with many hills) and have bought a TD5 to tow a horse box. This is the first 4x4 for me and was bought second hand.

Welcome. Does the m and s light come on from start up or while on the move ? What what test did you have done on the battery

Hi S&M lights come on while moving (along with engine light) not from start up. Don't know what tests done on battery - think they checked it was fully charged and connections were fine.

^^^^+ get them to check the red ecu plug for oil getting in the ecu (just behind battery) . As this can give all kinds of running probs . Also you might wont to share your prob in the discovery part of the forum .
