Disco 2 Td5 Disco 2000 engine won't turn off

I woke up this morning to my alarm going off, when I went to investigate the alarm went off with the fob but wouldn't unlock the doors I locked it again the alarm set off again. So I manually got in the car I put the key in and started the engine, absolutely no issues. I then went to turn it off and pulled the key out and the engine kept running. I had to stall it to turn it off. Now when I take the key out when engine is off all the lights on the dash are on! Help!!

It sounds like the contacts on your ignition switch have come loose at the end of the barrel and rotated a bit.

A water logged/wet fuse board, is a fairly common issue with D2 s I understand.

Don't panic, if the worst comes to the worst you can always disconnect the battery and jam the bonnet so it doesn't close completely, but judging by the rain today I don't envy you camping!
