Based in the UK and have a 51 plate Disco. It keeps not opening with the remote key. I open the door with key manually and the alarm goes off and it won’t start.
I have the code so reset it with the key turns in the lock and that sorts the problem for a while then it forgets it again a day or two later. Any ideas why?

The Emergency Key Access code is a use once only security deactivation “get you home” code, and as you have found out it works, the EKA will remain inactivated until the fob is next used to lock your vehicle.
Therefore the original issue needs to be rectified otherwise you will have to enter the code again or leave the vehicle unlocked.

Interesting! Thank you. Any ideas what the original issue might be?

Yes that’s it. I do the EKA, it works again for a while, and then stops again, so I have to redo the code again
Next time when the fob refuses to work unlock then lock with key without opening the door and try the fob then, if no joy and you have to insert EKA again start with replacing the RF receiver and if the symptom still persists you'll have to change the BCU... btw do you have two fobs and does the same with both?

... what's in the attached TSB is valid for all not just for NAS and the mentioned VINs

@Lindsay3107 - I've had my TD5 since 2018 and have not replaced the remote's battery yet, so they can last a long time - but as you don't mention it, have you tried replacing yours?
