TD5 blowing hoses.

TD5 at my work is blowing the hoses, does anyone know the cause of this?

sorry to be the bearer of bad news mate but it sounds like your headgasket has gone to me. My own TD5 is currently about to have a new head fitted after having he headgasket done last year and then the same symptoms coming back again. No overheating at all, just overpressurising. Turns out my head is cracked in 2 places.

Was thinking along the same lines, fortunately its not my one but one of the work ones that keeps blowing the hoses, I am glad its not mine, it has had fuel pump, ecu and new clutch and flywheel since I got it at christmas. Are you back on the road yet?

Not yet.

I've located a head. Just gotta pay for it and get is shipped down here so it can be fitted. I'm hoping it'll be back on the road by next weekend (22nd).

How much was you quoted and who from? I will have to locate one for this one at my work, I will phone BLRC in N.I. and see what their price is tomorrow.

Mine is secondhand from an engine with a fecked bottom end. A head with injectors seem to go for around £300-£350 on ebay on bids. A new head is £1000-£1200.
