TD5 Auto box problems

Driving home tonight on a nice straight bit of road, put my foot down and all of a sudden the M+S lights started flashing and the box went into limp home mode. have tried leaving it for a while, still no joy, tried moving the lever from park to first a few times, still flashing lights. Could it just be a duff xyz switch or something else. I have a Nanocom but cant see how to read the gearbox faults

it's the ecu telling you theres something wrong somewhere. can't be much help.
I would think if you turn the IGN off it would reset the ECU fault code but it seems to be a latching type of fault.
Like you said it could be a duff "trade mark-simpsons lol" sensor that has gone. If i detects it straight away the lights aren't going to turn off unless you/us find what it is
