I have a problem with a td5 auto gearbox. Here's the story
It worked fine until one day in uphills started to lose gears, kept one gear until 4000 rpm without upshift.
Then it died, it neither move forward nor reverse shifting the gear stick. Later I found It had a leakage I wasnt aware off. So it might have lost all its gear oil. My mechanic removed it and doesnt see any wear in it and believes the problem is a pressure regulator solenoid. I looked everywhere in the web for this part but nothing. Does anyone had a simmilar problem? Or would know where to find this part?
The problem is here in Greece the TD5 never been imported officialy so there arent many places to search for parts. Only online shops. And there isnt a land rover specialist in my town.
I have a spare 300tdi auto box and know they are the same zf 4hp22 but dont know if they have internal differencies as the 300 didnt have all those electronics. Does anyone knows if they could be swaped?
