All done and warm bum, just in time for the snow.;)
I used an set of new original LR heat pads for both seats, along with the wiring kit from mobile Centre, (which i have had for a year before getting round to fitting). So all genuine LR wiring, heat pads etc. Pics show drivers, passenger then both on ammeter, however fuse is rated at 20 as the draw will change depending on the ambient temp of the elements etc. The seats cycle on and off once up to temp.

For a seat to reach operating temp from cold and dark vehicle takes around 8 mins then they Cycle as follows:
Off for 8 mins
On for around 3 mins
Off for *mins
Once up to temp they are very warm indeed!

The connectors are a PIA to source, (VAG/BMW 2 pin) but bollocks to paying £7 each!! ( and you need both male and female FFS! )for them, so Amazon to the rescue 5 for £10, much more like it!
Also my hazard switch has stopped flashing again royal PIA to find the replacement bulb and you guessed it bollocks to £8.95 from Scrimmer Bros or
Puddocks, or Sheeet part, so off to the bay and got an LED one (£1.20 and a normal £1.40).

Hazard Switch Bulb is a T3 Neo wedge
LR Heated Seat Connectors are MQS AMP tyco (BMW VAG) 2 pin.

Stainless steel de-cat and middle straight through silencer replacement today, IF I can be assed......

New thermostat and coolant flush n change today, easy enough just removed fan nothing else, as long as you have the right long reach hose ratcheting hose clamp pliers its a doddle.
Also isolated the the heater matrix and flushed back n forth with it hosepipe, nothing bad came out, the OAT still looked red n clear and not brown so was happy.
Also pulled out the K&N filter and replaced with LR one, only been in about a year but not happy with it, not keen on the oil v MAF issues etc.

Old stat did not look too bad, pleased as it means my old coolant was pretty clean (changed 4 years ago).
Wanted to try a new stat to see if engine warms any faster, and yes it appears to now.

@1988smithy
OOPS BUSTED !!! a minor mishap with an angle grinder with a 1mm cutting blade, for once in a straight line!! across two of my podgers, tis a mear flesh wound mind and i'm tough........not really it really hurts! cos i went through the nail a bit..... not helpful when you bang it when you are doing three spring clips and rad pipes so get get wet hands and the plasters keep falling off. ( i used them sticky stitches under the plasters ) probably needs 2/3 stitches but cant be arsed with A&E and the 20 hr wait.

I sliced a nice trap door off my finger once with one side of a K&N pancake filter on a set of twin SU's, (how foookin sharp are they!) I could see the bone, so I did what most chaps do .... panicked, shut the flap, luzzed some white spirit over it, bandaged it it up and refused to look for 5 days. All good I still have the finger.

Anyway good news is now have a working heater MmmmM toasty!

NS footwell bulkhead, large hole where very large grommet had perished, so used this, have to say its superb, seriously impressed. The rest of the range is very interesting, its UV curing self adhesive glass fibre, great temp repair unit the summer when i will rivet a ali plate n mastic it.
