Anyone got any ideas on why it keeps blowing? It's under the bonnet, 3rd from the end and it's for the engine cooling fan. I've put 4 of em in now and when engine starts they click and blow. Before I start taking stuff to bits, am I missing anything obvious? Is there a common fault or an easy test? Much appreciated?

I had the same problem;it's the aircon fan,the one in front of the radiator, that it's blocked(try to spin the rotor just to check).I changed mine and no problems at all.Try to just unplug it till you have a new one;you don't need the aircon now...The fan could be always on if you overheated the engine in the past.

Thanks for the replies, a question re aircon fan. The aircon has been working fine all summer, ice cold with no probs. When you say it is blocked don't want to sound daft but probably will, blocked by what? Can't see anything so far...but the fan in front of the rad only turns a few inches.

The aircon can work even if the fan is not working;the fan is activated by the aircon only when the outside temp is more then 25 degrees and up to 60 mph.
Blocked I mean that you can' t spin it easy with a screwdriver or something thin and long enough through the grille.
Mine had a cracked magnet inside the electrical motor blocking the free rev of the rotor.

Just try to unplug the fan and try again to fit the fuse;maybe it's something different!
