Hi Mark, got your pm - been busy riding twinshock trials ! The answer is that you dont need any special tools to remove the EUI's - reading the book is more important.Have you got any further with the problem ?

hi
well i took the rocker cover off today ,put the ignition on so pump activates and i took ages to get to pressure ,also i could hear a faint hiss from one of the injectors ,ive done 80 miles since oil change and the oil it 20mm up the stick ,thats a lot of diesel so the head is comming off this week ,but im suspect it the head has a crack , would you have a tidy head laying around at all ??
ps how do the injectors pop out there is nothing really to grip onto .
cheers mark

Sorry no heads hanging around, taking it off is a bit prem till you have done washers and O rings - its alot of work and money if its not needed.

Only to read the book - sorry but I'm into my second bottle of wine, :p
the right shaped pry bar to lift the EUI's is the important bit as well as keeping them in the order they came out.

You Need A Injector Puller To Get Them Out Sorry Using A Pry Bar Might Just Damage Them

Nonsense!
I've had all mine out several times using a simple L-shaped prybar. It is always only a matter of being careful, and not using violence.

Having just been involved with a misfire thing, I can asure you they are easy enough to take out, I used a small heel bar. Beware though that you may need to turn the engine slightly to get clearance on the cam to enable the injector to come out. Also when fitting back, check the pushrod clearance. It's documented in the book. I've just fitted five new/second hand 'squirters' and didn't check clearance, big problems, should have read up first.
Hope my inexperience/disaster prevents you having same. :)
