td5 2001 automatic dash lights

i have a td5 automatic and sometimes when i go to start it the green 'm' and 's ' lights flash jeep wont drive until i keep shutting of and hopefully the lights reset themselves..any help ... also again randomly the abs , tc, and the symbol with the rear of the car lifted up illuminates buit resets when shut off and start again any help here please..
 
probably sulking 'cos you call it a jeep!

m and s (in cogs) flashing says there is an electrical fault in gbox, however with other flashing bulbs I'd guess it is ECU related.

The first thing I would be doing is giving your car battery a good overnight charge. The electronic systems on these cars need reliable voltages and when you start the engine it sucks a lot of juice and sometimes there is a shortage to fuel the electronics.

So,

1. give the car battery a good charge &

2. When you get in the car, start the engine first then put your seatbelt and and get ready for the road - this delay will be enough to allow the electronics to get juiced up BEFORE selecting any gears.
