hi i am new to this type of thing i have a 2001 td4 comercial, had a problem some how the expansion bottle cap vanished. i now have darkened antifreeze, i would like to change it but do not know were any of the bleed points are.there are no signs of head gasket failure ,but suspect the antifreeze has had it thanks

Haynes manual says,
Remove expansion tank cap, position heater temperature control on maximum, remove the engine undertray, release the clip and disconnect the bottm hose from the coolant rail and allow to drain into a conainer.
Also says if coolant is fooked, flush the radiator aswell. Disconnect top and bottom hoses from radiator and stuff a hosepipe in and give it a good flush.
Also says if you want to flush the engine you need to remove the thermostat which is next to the water pump.

Might be an idea to pick up a Haynes manual:eek:

hi bill, welcome,if you decide to drain the antifreeze, try and see what colour it is. if its the red ,oat stuff only replace with red oat antifreeze, tim.

all td4 should be oat, and there are two air bleed screws on the hoses into the heater matrix, you can see them from the engine bay where the two little hoses go through the bulkhead.
