My Freelander 2004 Td4 lately had experienced lack of power with the engine light comes on after passing 2500 - 3000 rpm. I decided to clean the maf sensor with brake cleaner. When I had started the engine, it went high revs upon startup and I switched off the engine and took the key out of the barrel with the engine still running. It went dead after approx 15 seconds. Now it won't start. Is it the engine immobilizer that is preventing the engine to start? Fuel pump near fuel filter seems working. Injectors are not receiving any current from the ECU.

You didn't remove the MAF before cleaning, did you?
It sounds like the engine ran on the Isopropyl alcohol in the cleaning fluid. If you are unlucky, the engine could throw a rod or break the crank.

You need to see if any codes are stored, to see what's up.

If you're lucky, the lift pump just needs replacing.

Update. Fuel pressure sensor is showing 0 and common rail is pressurized with diesel. Still no voltage on the injectors.
