TD4 synergy 2 most popular setting????

just wondering if you folks using the synergy 2 tuning module wouldnt mind posting your optimum/mostly used setting eg..1,3,5, etc .......thought it would be interesting to see what setting suits the td4 motor the best ..acording to a little survey here ..thanks

Mine is set up in the shed TBH. Went faulty on me and never changed under warranty as it made the engine knock on whatever setting and couldnt afford for another to go faulty on me while en-route to work.

Dont get me wrong, seemed to make a difference with power (ie more) and with fuel (oooops...used more too) but the engine just sounded wrong so when it went wrong I kept it off.

I have a Td4 Auto and use it on setting 1 with both MAF and Power turned on, it made no difference to the fuel economy (well not yet anyway (1000 miles in)) which has stayed at 37MPG but pickup is noticeably better and it certainly has more grunt, setting 2 and 3 worked even better but with a bit of smoke under load on the motorway so went back down to setting 1.

Anyone got any shots of how they have plumbed in the wiring (sorry to hijack the thread) as i have mine strewn across the engine at the mo whilst i can work out where to zip tie it to...

it seems a lot of users get smoke on settings above 2 ???

depends on your MAF condition, also over fueling leading to a bit of black smoke is'nt the end of the world...

I used to use my S2 on setting 7. But the smoke was winding the missus up! Went well though...

I now run it on setting 1 and this seems to give a good compromise between smoke and power/torque.

My S2 is mounted in the gap by the fuse box. It fits in snuggly and I can easily put it out to change settings. The cable then runs along the bulkhead and tied up with cable ties.

I used the earlier box on my 56 plate from new up to 100,000 miles, always set at max (10)
