Td4 power loss

Hi every one hope someone can help. I have a 51 plate td4 freelander which is smooth as apart from has no power to get up hills on the motorway speed drop to 50 mph I can change down gear and doesn't make any difference then speed builds again when on flat but won't go over 65-70 down hill she flys

checked your pipes from intercooler to turbo?

Just an update been told by the guy that had it befor me that it happened to him when he got the car socked by going water and then it would go again has this happened to any one else

water in the air intake .. has happened to one or two ..

Maf sensor problems.

and as mentioned above .. check the intercooler hoses for leaks ..

hi guys just a bit of an update for check all the hoses there ok cleaned egr
as i was looking for the turbo vent filter i couldn't find it but after some following of the hoses i found that somone has taken the filter off and joyed the vent hose to the IRD breather pipe i take it this is not right

your right .. in thinking it's not right ..
unhook the turbo vacuum vent hose .. stick the proper filter on it ..
leave the ird breather pipe alone as is .. ( should be a hook shape end facing down )

If the turbo vaccum vent hose gets blocked .. the turbo vanes won't operate properly ..
engine power will suffer ..
the small filter on the end of that hose .. prevents grit/grime getting sucked back into the vacuum system that operates the turbo vanes
