Hi (sorry my english, I am Norwegian;)

2001 TD4. This happen some times when it runs and I give throttle. The engine goes in idle modus, and the yellow engine lights up. I have refit the fuel pump in the engine bay and in the tank.

But from the tank I can hear a clear loud ticking sound. Like a blinkers relay. Is this normal? I dont hear it when I start, but after a few minutes and it dont stop before I turn the engine of.

It is lack of power, and the diagnostic also says there is some problems with the throttle sensor!?

I realy feel there is some problems with the fuel line.

Where do I start to search?

Ok . . . . .so youve changed both fuel pumps, need to check if your fuel filter is not blocked thats the first line after that do basic Ming check, get a helper to turn on the ignition [dont start the engine] put your hand on the engine fuel pump [rhs under wheel arch on the 2001 model] it should vibrate for about 20- 40 seconds then stop , this then indicates that the fuel has reached its top up start pressure. . . . .so if there is no vibration , check fuel pump fuse, if good then fuel pump relay [change with a like relay if in doubt and try the basic test again] if it keeps running on , then this could indicate a faulty pump or a fuel leak or air being drawn in the system by a bad fuel joint. . . . .please note this is a rule of thumb test, another thing to test is to dissconect the fuel line by the filter [this is a snap connection ,but in a very fiddly place but do- able] again switch on ignition and aim the pipe to the floor [have a load of wipes to mop up the fuel spill] it should flow nice and steady, if its foaming or in silly spurts, then it could be your rear fuel pump, and yes i know you have chaged it , but you could also have a load of ****e in the tank, and this could block at the pump or the pump is u/s. . . . . hope this helps :)

Ok. If I have a fuelpump in the wheel arch, I must have three pumps!? I have change the pump and filter in the engine bay (they sits together on the inner left wing) and the in tank fuel pump. There is no dirt in the tank either. The old in-tank is dirty.
I will check the pressure out of the pumps and we will see.
