I have a 04 Freelander (newer shape), when I was driving home yesterday the power steering went and the battery light came on. Having a look through the threads on his site it looks like its the Auxiliary belt and possibly the Air Con Belt.
I rang my local Land Rover dealer today and got the following prices:
Alternator Belt €48.20 and A/C Belt €23.61 all plus vat so around €90 all in. To fit them would be around €150 for the hour labour.
so €240/£175 for the complete job
Am I getting completely ripped off here?
Ok just got a price of €32 for both belts of a local motor factors
