Hi Everyone...
Just bought a td4 ES as a poss fixer upper... (167k but great cond)
When you start from cold there is drive for 10-15 sec (fwd & rev)
after that - bugger all!!!
Checked fluid level (bit brown but not opaque or smelly)
No codes stored (snap on solus )
On live date drive mode reports as "fault" - not sure what this means?
Checked solonoid operations / gear selector ect... dash reports all selections & no f4 ect...
all electrical connections to box seem fine
At a bit of a loss now, my gut feeling is the box is toast but thought i'd ask here before getting either the spanners or camera out.
The history - car was p/x at local dealer, they prepped it for sale and on a test drive it got as far as the gate and lost drive... as far as i know it was driven in... no bangs, clunks or tantrums, just looses drive after a few seconds from cold
Any Ideas??
