Hi On my 2005 td5 90 its always been slugish you have to push it on the motorway go get 70mph ,so i got hold of a nanocom and only fault is something to do with the aircon/clutch but not to worried about that as i dont have aircon. My boost up hill is 0.94 max can i adjust it like 1.1 or have i a problem else where ..milage 70k
Cheers

Most you can dial the boost up to is 1 bar or 14.75 psi otherwise the ECU will register overboost and go into limp mode. To run higher boost pressures you need a gizmo to fool the ECU into thinking the boost is lower than it really is. TD5Alive sell them.

Done the fuel filter but not the MAP inlet sensor i can see the plug do i just take it out and clean it and what does it do ,would it come up faulty on the nanocom tester

no i havnt run though a engine cleaner should i?
just cleaned the map inlet sensor now runs good but when i came back from a 10 mile run with a big smile i left it for a hour and when i started the engine it was over fueling blue smoke for about a minute loads of it,It has done this a couple of times over the years but not all the time ,what is causing it to overfuel ,shall i change the map sensor,,its reading no faults on the nanocom except aircon/clutch:(

Black smoke is overfueling. Normally seen when you give it loads of right foot.
Blue smoke/haze is engine oil. Many problems cause this.
White smoke is water in the fuel. Possibly due to head gasket problems or condensation in the fuel tankl.
Some steam is normal when first starting a cold engine - especially in cold weather.

You may have a leaky valve stem seal. The oil runs down the valve stem when the engine is standing and gets burnt off when you first fire it up. Alternatively you may have more serious problems causing the engine oil to be burnt. Hard to tell without seeing it.

a fitter just said its not oil its fuel and effectivly flooding the piston/s.He said black smoke is also unburnt fuel but a small amount black means its slightly burnt and it will come out blue if its a lot of fuel He also said the smell gives it away and makes the eyes sting This test was carried out with a exhaust machine of some kind

looks like its going to be big bucks ,when the engine starts from coldish the revs are a little higher the ecu is letting a little more fuel like a choke .. but mine wants to chuck in the whole dam tank for 30 seconds ..It only does this a few times a year but boy dont i no it when it does and it runs lumpy as hell for a min

Take it for a spin and recored the fueling and post the results on here. A dodgy water temp sensor could cause it to overfuel.

Mine chucks out a small puff of blue smoke when cold but only for about 5 secs (only done this since i started running it on veg oil)
