Hi i have tc and hill decent warning lights on(amber) car was put on computer but shows no faults, any ideas

1. What kind of scanner("computer") was it?.....there are som protocols/generic scanners which cannot comunicate with the Land Rover's SLABS ECU, just with the ECM.

2. Only HDC and TC are on without ABS?(off course if the ABS light works on selftest)

3. If only HDC and TC are amber and ABS light is functional but not on, and a dedicated tester(i.e Nanocom, Hawkeye, T4, etc) was used by a versant guy then i can think just to a strange wiring/contact issue as the two warning lights are getting some false feed....the normal warnings are generated by the ECU based on various inputs from the systems/sensors.....so its almost impossile that the involved ECU has no fault codes stored.(i said almost coz when it comes about Land Rover everything is possible:D:eek:)

Be aware is not enough to plug in the "computer" it must be setted to scan the (sl)ABS ECU

Hi the tester was a multi purpose it connected with the engine ecu, abs ecu, suspension ecu, body control ecu, the test is about 12 months old and cost 10,000 at a local garage, the abs light comes on and goes out after its done its self test,

Hi.

Don't know if it will help but i had some crazy dash lights including tc/abs and g/box fault when i used mine in some serious rain at start of year, couldn't figure it out at all and then i noticed that nearside front indicator was full of water......so drained it while i was fiddling and then had to drive truck.....switched on ignition and all warning lights went out.....i have no proof but too much of a coincidence and since changing lens i have had no reoccurence of fault?!?!?!?

Nick.
