SUCCESS!
the landy has been found! see pic just before police recover, The thief was apparently driving around in it with a set of false plates! I will post a pic of him etc after he has been dealt with in court ;)
The landy is seen with a now black roof parked on a driveway in the pic.

Chuffed for the owner though.....so horrible to be tricked like that.

Did the plod get a tip off or did they find it themselves? I take it the owner must have left the scumbag in the Landy and had gone into his house. Lesson for all of us there.

this is what happened :mad:

My friend had advertised his 90 td5 on Ebay and someone contacted him for a viewing, they came to his home very chatty and seemed pleasant, during a test drive they pulled over to the side of a dark country lane and quite politely suggested that maybe my friend should drive back now as he knows the area better and he had experienced what he wanted during the test drive, he then applied the hand break and unclipped his seatbelt as if to exit the vehicle! my friend got out of the passenger door and walked around the rear of the 90 to enter the drivers seat when the 90 took off down the lane leaving him standing there puzzled for a moment of what was going on!


the cctv was before the test drive. :D

now he probably even knows where the thief lives! nothing better than paying him a visit in 6 months time or so to have a "word"

It's good news that it's turned back up. I hope the book gets chucked at the scum....shortly before the landrover drives over his head.:D:D:D

I wonder how many landys you could get outside that house if for instance some like minded people were to all turn up simultaniously to see if the person was still interested in having anything to do with the landy marque.:confused::confused::confused:
