check live to the switch check once you press the switch the power travels down the wire to the motor

then check the switch/motor wiring for power when someone presses the switch

I had a similar problem. You need to reset the computer.

Disconnect the battery and THEN turn the headlights lights on (trust me). Leave it like this for at least half an hour for the electronics to drain of any current.

Turn the lights off and reconnect the battery. the rear window will then reference itself by going to the down position.

In my case and for some inexplicable reason I had to leave it 4 hours to drain the electronics but this is not usual.

Let me know how you get on. If this doesn't work it could be something to do with your rear wiper, maybe the micro switches.

As above about the rear wiper - A quick check - is the wiper parked correctly? (it should be off the glass and resting on the rubber strip)...if not then the tailgate glass will not work from the inside switch because the ccu does not know the wipers position....park microswitch has not been met inside the wiper motor.

Is the wiper blade off the glass mate?

BTW Is the tailgate handle working correctly, does the door open light go out on the dash when it is closed and the glass raises when closed ?

Sounds like it is the wiper but I would try resetting the ccu first. Otherwise you could spend loads of time getting to the motor and it just needed a reset of the ccu.
