Tailgate repair kit...anyone done one?

Purchased a repair kit of eBay and had a go doing it today. All seemed ok, had to compress the skinny spring on the motor to relieve strain to clip last cable into the runner. Fitted it back in car and recalibrated it. Seemed to struggle a bit then it stopped working. Took it all apart again only to find cables all mashed up on the motor wheel. No instructions came so was working a little blind, hence the reason for buggering it up I suppose?! A few questions though for people that may know;
Does the motor body clip onto the guide rail as it looks like it should?
Should it be fairly hard clipping in the last cable into the window clamp runners?
Does the rear window go all the way to the bottom on re calibration or should the motor plastic clamp stop it going all the way so the window sits a few inches above the door seal?
I didn't buy the cheapest kit on eBay as I didn't want the hassle like I'm having now!

Don't know anything about the kit,but my rear window does go all the way down!!,hope this helps.
