having worked for myself and as an employee, i see the charm and pitfalls of both. I guess the state of the world after covid19 will have some say what direction i take next
pie in the sky scenario, always fancied getting back into a licensed setting again

It's actually getting harder and harder to find 7.5t drivers. Most of my generation and older got it automatically when they passed the car test. That changed in the early 90s. Nowadays no-one takes a 7.5 test, they go straight to class 2, why wouldn't you?
+1
The only reason for the C1/C1E categories is for the 18-20 age group, and for those that give up the C/CE due to age.
:)

I think you have to pass your 3.5 before the do your class2 I have a class 2 right now, (well I did) had it taken away due to health

Yea I got grandfather rights on my 3.5 thats why they couldn't take it away, if I had to pass it like my C2 then they could have

I have (yesterday been put on 80% so I am home now, lots of medical stuff in the cargo right now.

Any thing for hire or reward you should have a tacho.
Horse box has 1 fitted. As I’m only moving my horse no need for tacho. Soon as someone gives me any money(even prize money) I should use it.
Once fitted it needs to calibrated even if it’s not been used.

there are plenty of people using pickups to trailer cars round the country. Bet most of these don’t use 1 but wait for a tug & ignorance does not help vosa go away

Reckon the biggest problem would be if there is an accident no matter whose fault, but when they enquire about driver hours etc, the fan gets switched on
