Well my christmas prezzie from the mrs arrived today :D

T-Max air compressor to pump up my tyres :D

Looks a great bit of kit - with the option of permanent vehicle mount and hard wire installation............................................ anyone done that with their compressor???

no I've a T-Max Adventure HD and it has been good- only thing I did was tape the cable by crocodiles to stop the cable parting.

I keep the gauge on the coiled air hose as the first one arrived smashed

Noticed in the user manual too that its possible to connect it up to pressurise an air receiver too - like an on board air tank setup???

Could be setup, but would need non return valve, tank and pressure switch-tire inflation or air lockers

more cost and hassle draining the tank unless you use it regularly.

Just checked its 72ltr/min which works out at around 2.5cfm - so i don't think i'll bother - might do a permanent install/hard wire behind the cubby box though...................

Do you tow often? If so my dad used to have the airbag system with the tanks and it was the most useful tool for towing as it allows you to pump the bags up in the springs and causes the truck to sit level

I think your getting a bit ahead of the game there daz

u need to realise the limits of the compressor u have and not turn it into a permanent fixture like your thinking

there great as an air locker or tyre pressure compressor but they will take a while to pump a tyre up from scratch

the one I had in my 90 I put an Anderson connector on the front of the seat box which I could plug jump leads into and also the air compressor which I could then move around the vehicle as req

but tbh to connect it to a tank etc is a bit pointless

I have put a Anderson connector at the back of my 90 just on top of the rear cross member and have made a set of jump leads for it, one main reason was to power the winch on a trailer, but like said above you could use it for your compressor :)
