Hello all
I am thinking of going down the synergy 2a route.
On searching the forum there are lots of posts praising the unit four or five years ago.
Is anybody still running one of these?
And are they still giving good results?
I want one for towing my caravan and possibly saving some fuel round and about.
Have just cleaned the inlet manifold.
EGR delete fitted ages ago.
Full service done.
It's a sport auto

I'm using one, mostly so I can use the cheaper Pierburg MAF.

It works the same as when first installed. Mine's set on position No2 IIRC This gives a slight improvement in low end torque, and faster engine response.

Cleaning the manifold is worthwhile doing, however the synergy won't give any fuel savings with the auto box. My own TD4 auto gives a constant 28 MPG on my 10 miles Cornish A and B road daily commute.

I'd not set the Synergy at over No4 on the dial, as the can make more torque than the auto box can take. Having mine set at max when towing, damaged the TC clutch, causing it to shudder when it engaged.

I run one on a TD4 manual and I do think it saves me money and improves the smoothness of acceleration had it a few years now

I was meaning remap wise?

I couldn't recommend anywhere really, as diesel tuning isn't not my thing. I only use the synergy because it allows the use of a cheaper MAF, and it's transferable to the next TD4. If I was keeping the vehicle long term, I'd just do a Google search in the area and check out the feedback of any places doing such work.
