sync mate fixed it

Hi P38 now back on the road thanks to advice on here many thanks, and to syncmate purchased from fella in Devon on e.bay who supplies them for both petrol and diesel models.
Slightly more expensive than direct from black box solutions but next day delivery was worth the extra.Also saved me recovery to garage and diagnostics so over the moon

You need a petrol syncmate. Kaisermax has a diesel.
