Finally got around to replacing the CV joints andd oing the swivel seals while i'm down there.

Was going along fine but now have a major problem.
The bottom swivel pin torx screws are siezed and wont budge, have twisted my driving bit beyond recognition (Halfords will replace of course lol)

So I thought OK i'll just take the whole housing off the axle and do the seal and retainer. The only problem that I now have is that there is no way to get a socket onto the bolts as the chrome ball fouls any socket.
A ring spanner will fit but I have no way of getting enough torque onto it to undo the bolts.

Any suggestions?

ring spanner and an very large hammer,

if you dont have a very large one then a large one will do :)

a length of pipe on the spanner is a good lever. the longer the better!
2 interlocking spanners also works sometimes.
